At Kirks, we understand that career paths are not linear and they can form different shapes. We aim to spot talent and encourage learning and professional exams. We are proud to have helped three Licenced Insolvency Practitioners qualify with the firm as well as a number of support staff who have passed the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency exams.

We provide a flexible approach to working which can include part time or full time working from home as well as hours and times to suit you. All of the insolvency team have an IT set up at home as well as a permanent base in one of our offices.

 

Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Kirks are looking for a near or newly qualified Licensed Insolvency Practitioner to join our friendly team based in one of our regional offices. This is a full time (35 hours) role and can be based on a hybrid working arrangement of 1 or 2 days in the office and the remainder working from home.

Reporting to the Managing Partner you will proactively manage and progress an existing caseload as well as developing new business opportunities.

Your main duties will include:

  • Reporting to the Managing Partner level you will take the full day-to-day responsibility for your own portfolio of cases.
  • Taking the lead on joint appointments as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner together with the Managing Partner
  • You will attend initial meetings with companies in distress to discuss with the Directors the right solution and outcome for their financial problems.
  • Progressing all aspects of insolvency case work including pre and post appointment procedures and compliance matters efficiently.
  • Undertake a caseload of insolvency cases.
  • Oversee and assist with the training and development of the team.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience at operating as a manager in a Restructuring and Insolvency role.
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal and decision-making ability.
  • Experience of working with IPS or equivalent insolvency software.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a small team.

Senior Insolvency Manager

We are looking to recruit someone who is an enthusiastic and ambitious experienced insolvency professional. If training is needed, we will fund you through the CPI exams. The role provides a great opportunity to become a key member of a small team based at one of our offices.  We are happy to discuss hybrid working arrangements.

The role will suit either a:

  • CPI qualified or someone with ambition to be JIEB qualified in the future.
  • At least three years plus insolvency practice experience.

The Role

  • Preparing the paperwork to put companies into liquidation or administration.
  • Progressing cases including drafting reports.
  • Dealing with the sale of assets, collection of debtors and creditors claims.
  • Talking to creditors and directors as cases progress.

Hybrid working available.

Insolvency Office Administrator Plymouth

Neville and Co, Licensed Insolvency Practitioners are looking for a confident individual to work as a receptionist/administration role at our office on Plymouth International Business Park. Ideally this is a full-time role (Mon – Fri 9.00am – 5.00pm) but part time of 20 hours plus would be considered.

The successful applicant will have a varied role as they will be managing the day-to-day functions of the office and supporting the insolvency team. Training in these following tasks will be given:

  • Completion of ethical checklists, money laundering documents and other checklists.
  • Liaising with agents, directors and creditors.
  • General day to day administration of insolvency cases.
  • Drafting annual and final reports on liquidations, statement of affairs and other statutory documents.

If you are an office administrator with a “can do” attitude and are looking for a little more, or if you are an insolvency administrator who is happy to adopt a wider role please apply.

The successful applicant will need to be:

  • Friendly and able to communicate well with colleagues.
  • Numerate with an ability to read reports containing financial information.
  • Proficient in MS applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Happy to work alone (with support available).
  • Keen and willing to learn.
  • Able to work in a small office of 3 people.

We will give training and support should you wish to progress your insolvency career.

Job Type: Full-time in Plymouth. Part time of 20 hours + considered.

Initial Salary: £20,000.00 – £24,000.00 per year
